Being a competent diver requires significant commitment. Those who earn a professional level certification are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting of the scuba industry at all times. But divers are also able to enjoy a unique way of life in the environments they advocate for and defend. Much of life as a diver is spent away from home, where you build unique relationships with people you’ve never met, yet embark on journeys together where you must trust each other with your lives.

Accommodations are exclusive to active military, veterans & active firefighters as well as their significant others. You can reserve all the rooms as a group or share the home with other qualified guests.
The length of your stay depends on the course or program you’re interested in. The average stay is 5 days, however we have guests that stay weeks at a time to obtain multiple certifications or meet certain objectives.
We recommend flying into Key West International as it’s only about 20 minutes from the retreat, but often tickets are less expensive if you fly into Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. We only provide transportation to/from Key West International.
All guests must be active military, veterans, active firefighters or their significant others.
The retreat home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you book a reservation for all 3 rooms you’ll have the home to yourself. If you reserve less than 3 rooms, the other rooms will be made available to other qualifying guests.
Training begins at 10AM daily and usually concludes around 5PM (course dependent). The vast majority of classroom work is done prior to arriving at the retreat via eLearning. When you’re here the classroom sessions are short and interactive.
Guests are responsible for their own meals, but we often cook and eat together. The retreat home has a large kitchen. We provide travel to local stores. Raven (co-founder) is usually cooking on the grill and keeping everyone happily fed with her southern charm.
